Welcome to Caballeros

Caballeros is a family organization open to residents of Rolling Hills, CA. It is made up of people who share a love and support of the trail system and rural nature of the city. As soon as the group was formed in 1951, its members took on the formidable task of building a network of bridle trails through the hills.

There are now about twenty-six miles of graded bridle trails in the city that were constructed by this organization. The trails have western names such as Willow Springs, Blackwater, and Flying Triangle and are monitored by Los Caballeros. There are also two riding rings in the community, the Caballeros Ring and Hix Ring.

Los Caballeros annual signature event is The Hix BBQ, a western styled event bringing the whole city together in celebration of its western heritage. This event provides a great atmosphere to meet new neighbors and reconnect with old ones. Throughout the year, Caballeros also hosts a pancake breakfast, several organized trail rides and an annual meeting.

Los Caballeros primary objective is to promote the rural atmosphere of Rolling Hills and to support all of those who are enjoying the trail system.

The membership fee includes the whole family. Bulletins keep members informed of the activities planned for the group. Membership also includes regular newsletters and the calendars of Caballeros organized events, a directory of members and an opportunity to join the many riding, hiking, and social activities planned by the group.

The trails are maintained by the Rolling Hills Community Association and monitored by the Caballeros.

We look forward to you seeing on the trails!!
